Spell for Fortune and Good Luck

Items needed: a dollar bill; an oil that represents prosperity such as cinnamon,
patchouli, almond, bayberry, mint, or bergamot.

Purify, cast Circle, and invoke God and Goddess.

Press your palms together, touch your fingertips to your forehead and say:

“Eternal Mother, Triple Goddess,
Dancing God of power and might,
Bless this ritual with your presence,
Fill me with wisdom, magick, and light.”

Listen for a few moments to your heartbeat, then say:

“See the dancing feet of the Goddess of Fortune,
Goddess of good luck, love, and prosperity!
I greet you with joy and hope,
Dance, Goddess, dance!
Your flashing feet bring good luck to my life,
Honor to thee, Goddess!
I offer my love to the Goddess!”

Dance, clap your hands, or stamp your feet to raise energy; be sure to use movement to do so.

Once you can feel the energy swirling around you; clap once, bow, and clap again.
Then say:

“With joy and hope, my heart welcomes prosperity,
Enter, Benten, Lady of luck and good fortune,
Laughing Goddess, bringing wealth with her smile.”

Blow a kiss to the Goddess, as you do release the energy you have built up. Then say:

“Dancing Goddess of the lights,
Good fortune shower upon your child
Lift high the veil of depressing nights
And bless me, laughing Goddess, wild.
Treasures deep within the Earth,
Precious stones and metals fine,
Are not all I seek,
Simple luxury, prosperity,
The ability to live in comfort and in health,
Bring to me these to ease my mind and body,
Goddess great,
Brighten my future,
Ease my fate.”

Anoint a dollar with a prosperity oil on all four corners and in the center draw either a pentagram or a circle.

Bless and eat the simple feast, then open Circle.

Keep the dollar bill that you anointed in a safe spot in your wallet or purse, it will work to draw more money to you.

I'm pretty sure that the original of this came from DJ Conway, I just changed it to better suit me and my needs. I tend to shy away from prosperity spells unless we're really in need because I am a very typical Sagittarius when it comes to money. It comes to me when I need it. However, sometimes it's a little slow and I could use some prosperity NOW rather than SOON.

I've only done this one once and it worked well enough. I would have performed this back in 1997~ish while we were living in Altoona. It certainly did the trick and we came into a nice little windfall at just the right time. This spell didn't seem to be the type that continued on bringing the prosperity, just a small lump right when we needed it. It could also be that my intention was just for that little bit instead of a steady trickle.
