Healing Full Moon Eclipse Esbat
Items needed: one red candle, two black candles, one white candle, an oil of choice, lotus oil, and slips of rose colored paper.
Purify and cast Circle.

"Lady of the full moon light, Goddess both dark and bright, we know that by whatever names we call Thee - _____________ - that You hear us. Join us in our rite this evening and impart to us a portion of your passion and presence, help us work or wills on this night at the height of Your power. Hear our desire for You to descend to our Circle tonight, hail and welcome!"

"Horned Lord of the horned moon, Lord of the domains of life and death, we know that by whatever names we call Thee - __________________ - that You hear us. Join us in our ritual and help us to appreciate change for without You the Goddess could not range through her phases. Hear our desire for You to descend to our Circle tonight, hail and welcome!"
__________________ light the three candles (one red, one white, and one black) and say:
"Three Candles I do Light
In Honor of Thee, O Goddess, this sacred Night
White for the Maiden pure as Snow
Red for the Mother full within, and
Black for the Crone, old and wise."

"May the blessings of the Mother Goddess be upon us. May She grant us a compassionate heart and fire us with passion. May She teach us the joys of creation and the joys that accompany it. Tonight we honor the power of our birth, we honor our mothers. May others see the Mother Goddess within us through our warmth, in our ability to nurture and heal, and in the compassion that we share with others. Through us runs the love of the God and Goddess."

whose torches of the Moon light the darkened sky.
Full-orbed Mistress of the Moon, Lady of enchantments,
Queen of Heaven, Earth and the Underworld,
Protectress of all Witches,
Come now unto us,
Fill us with Your Presence
Oh Gracious Goddess as we attend this Rite.
Everyone imagine or see the Full Moon and see a mist descending from the moon into you. Feel Her slowly envelop you, starting at the top of your head and slowly moving down to your feet. Feel this vibrating energy of the Goddess fill your very being. When Her energies reach your feet, know that you are filled with the presence of the Goddess, as She is you and you are She.
With an oil of choice, beginning in the West, each person should anoint their brow and heart chakra. After doing so, say:
"Goddess, grant us a clear heart and mind for the magick we will perform tonight. Lend us your blessings, allow our eyes to see through the darkness to the heart of Your blessings."
__________________ light the black candle (to remove negativity) and say:
“Draconis! Draconis! Draconis! Hear our call, three times we hail you, listen all! This candle flame is like your fire, help us in our rite and lend your power to us. Come to us and hear our words, help us to achieve our goals. With our humblest thanks we welcome thee! Draconis! Draconis! Draconis!”

"The May night is alive with mystery and magick, the earth has awakened from her slumber and we are celebrating this full moon rite under an eclipsed moon. This will help to bring both pleasure and healing into our lives and with this ritual we hope to promote both.”
___________________ pass out the slips of rose colored paper and pens, then say:
"As each of us writes down one thing we would like to heal within ourselves we need to keep in mind the bonds of friendship. We are strengthening our ties to each other this night as well, and while many things are too personal to share we can still rely on each other to help support us when we need it."
Everyone should write down the thing they would like help with healing, it can be anything – healing for physical, mental, or spiritual reasons. When everyone is done, fold the paper and use the lotus oil to anoint it.

"Lunar Goddess whose sickle moon can cut to kill or cure, we offer our never ending thanks for your help in this rite. In this time before the birth of summer we needed your guidance and support, we know that the healing you bring will be for the good of us all, and will bring harm to none."
Everyone take a few moments to meditate on what we are asking for, individually and as a group. See the full moon light filling you, taking the place of whatever you wish to be healed and transforming it.
Everyone light your papers from the black candle and allow the slips to burn into ash in the cauldron.

Ron and Adrian joined us for the esbat on this one. Yeah, I really enjoy having another male voice in ritual. Ron and Michael are similar enough in how they direct energy (trying really hard to contain it but generally having no control whatsoever) that I didn't have a huge system shock adding two people to the rite. And Adrian blended right in with Maia and I, she has a very sweet voice for ritual. By the time West was invoked I felt really heavy and could feel the tide that was summoned, I closed my eyes and it felt like I was underwater. I wimped out and called on Eros because I had forgotten to tell Ron and Adrian who my Patron was. Didn't want to have them run screaming from Circle.
Anyway, you may be asking, why a healing ritual. Well, mainly because I needed it. It was helpful to Maia as well, and never look a gift healing in the mouth. Plus, it turns out that my intuition was right on the money for this because Adrian had a few things that needed some healing energy. I’ve learned to trust my gut and any ‘hunches’ I may feel while writing ritual, they tend to be correct.
