Say:
“This is the time of Spring’s return, the joyful time, the seed time, when life bursts forth from the earth and the chains of Winter are broken. Light and dark are equal. It is a time of balance when all the elements within us must be brought into a new harmony. The Prince of the Sun stretches out His hand and Kore, the Dark Maiden, returns from the land of the dead cloaked in fresh rain, with the sweet scent of desire on Her breath. Where They step, wildflowers appear; as They dance, despair turns to hope, sorrow to joy, want to abundance. As I turn the Wheel may my heart be open with the Spring! Blessed be!”
Take time to meditate on the change in the seasons, feel the rousing energies in you and in the earth.
Raise your arms and say:
“This is the time of the Maiden Goddess and the Young God. They offer us new beginnings; She brings us beauty and the power to fill our hearts with joy. Behold, with the coming spring the God stretches and rises, eager in His youth and bursting with the promise of summer! May my power be in harmony, let my heart be filled with love!”
Touch the plant on your altar and connect with its energies. After a time say:
“This sacred plant represents the greatest gift of the God and Goddess, the gift of life. They make the air pure to breathe and make the earth beautiful to look upon, they grow to heal and nourish that I might live. I give thanks for the abundant gifts of the God and Goddess and for the many joys of springtime!”

Here is my simple, solitary Ostara that I did for years and years and years. Looking over it now, I kinda want to go back to it! *laughs* Maybe next year, instead of doing my overly elaborate rituals I go back to basics.
You can probably see the big influences of Starhawk and Scott Cunningham in this. There was a lot of this that stuck with my Ostara rituals that I ended up doing with the various groups and it's only recently that I've fully gotten away from it.
