Avalon Tarot

There are several decks out there with this title, the one that I own has artwork from Joseph Viglioglia. I have seen reviews that complain that these cards are too 'comic book'-ish in their art, but I find the style to be just right. Then again, I like to read comics too. Hmmm. Anyway the colors in the cards are very bold and vibrant, which fits the Arthurian personages that the cards depict. This is one my newer decks so I'm still 'breaking it in' so to speak.

I actually bought the Avalon Tarot from one of my mother's witchy friends. I wasn't too sure about it, but the colors of the box; a bright golden yellow, oranges, and crimsons drew my eye. I have only used it a few times, I can't quite seem to get my hands around the deck even though the cards are of a normal size. I really like the art work in it, the style is perfect for the cards. I'm still working with them to see if I can learn to work with them, the reading I get are accurate but they have a sterile feel to me. Maybe I'm just being silly.
