The style for this deck is known as the 'floating world', and as you can see it is very classical and elegant. I love that they blend Japanese symbols into the deck to help illustrate the divinatory meanings.
I love beautiful, symbolic cards and that is what prompted me to buy the Ukiyoe Tarot. These cards capture the sensuous "floating world" that is Ukiyoe art and which flourished in Japan during the 17th and 18th centuries. Another of its high points is that it combines many Japanese symbols into the cards creating a detailed world from which I can draw my reading. I feel that it speaks to my hidden memories and helps to pull a more decisive reading from me for the querant.
According to Amazon.com this deck is out of print and to get it from them is a little pricey. However, if you do happen to stumble across a reasonably priced deck, I highly recommend it. The readings are generally spot on and they tend to give more detail than other decks that I've used.
